This unique class offers the chance to read and discuss one of the most important books on parenting, How to Raise an Adult, by Julie Lythcott-Haims. During these six sessions, you will learn about age-appropriate responsibilities, the importance of self-sufficiency, the need for children to make their own choices and what behaviors will help children attain maturity.Lythcott-Haims, dean of freshmen at Stanford for ten years and mom of two teens, provides many valuable insights. Dividing the book into manageable portions with discussion on insights and implementation carries her message home.
